As Montana’s oldest operating hotel, the Grand Union Hotel commands impressive views of the Missouri River where Lewis and Clark’s Corps of Discovery once traveled. The hotel was built at the height of Fort Benton's prosperity and the steamboat era on the Upper Missouri River, 7 years before Montana became a state. Elegantly restored to its original splendor in 1999, the Grand Union Hotel is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

**Grand Union Grille**
Our Chef, Scott Myers, has a culinary degree from New England Culinary Institute in Vermont. His food focuses on farm to table ingredients and depth of flavor. The menu changes seasonally to reflect what is available in the local area. Chef Myers will be offering nightly specials along with the Tavern menu which offers diners a more casual experience. Desserts and bread are prepared and baked fresh daily on the premises. Overnight guests can enjoy a continental breakfast with views of the Missouri River. Later in the day, guests can sample their favorite Montana microbrews at the hotel’s pub. The Union Grille is open daily in the summer for evening dining, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM. During the winter, the hours change to Wednesday through Sunday from 5:00 to 9:00 PM. Reservations are recommended.
