1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 c. flour
1 t. salt
1 t. vanilla
1 c. pecan halves
1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cream butter and sugar in a medium bowl until fluffy. Add eggs and beat well. Set aside. In a small bowl, combine flour and salt. Add to butter mixture and beat well. Add vanilla. Drop batter by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheets. Press a pecan half in center of each cookie. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until edges are barely browned. Cool completely. Melt chocolate over low heat or in the microwave, stirring often, until smooth. Add a little oil to the chocolate to make it very thin. Using the tip of a teaspoon, drizzle the chocolate over the cookies. Let cool completely.
